Responsibilities
The Technical Support Officer will be responsible for:
- Performing Core Business Systems operations including Bank end of day process during evening and Saturday schedules on a rotational basis;
- Providing general IT support to end users;
- Administration and support on the Bank telephony system;
- Supporting the Infrastructure Team with certain tasks pertaining to infrastructure;
- Managing the creation, maintenance and removal of users' accounts, user access rights etc over a diversity of systems;
- Providing support to BNF Bank employees across multiple sites;
- Performing routine checks on the various Bank systems (networks, hardware and software) and maintaining appropriate records of mentioned checks;
- Sharing technical knowledge and ways of resolution with other team members;
- Educating business end users on how to make effective use of their technological tools (hardware & software) to speed up problem resolution, whilst keeping abreast with new technology;
- Establishing good working relationships both within the IT team and with the other departments; and
- Documenting processes and procedures as necessary.
Skills
You must:
- Have a good understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite of products;
- Have a solid understanding of end user hardware;
- Familiar with on-premises systems namely; Active Directory, DHCP and DNS;
- Be flexible and willing to learn banking processes and systems;
- Have the ability to think pragmatically;
- Communicate effectively and clearly, possess excellent listening skills and have the ability to interact confidently with internal customers;
- Be a team player;
- Demonstrate good problem-solving skills;
- Be willing to learn and share the acquired knowledge; and
- Able to work under pressure.
Experience and Knowledge
You must:
- Possess an MCAST Diploma or a Certification of a relevant ICT academy; and
- Ideally have work experience in an IT support role or function.
