Responsibilities

The Technical Support Officer will be responsible for:

  • Performing Core Business Systems operations including Bank end of day process during evening and Saturday schedules on a rotational basis;
  • Providing general IT support to end users;
  • Administration and support on the Bank telephony system;
  • Supporting the Infrastructure Team with certain tasks pertaining to infrastructure;
  • Managing the creation, maintenance and removal of users' accounts, user access rights etc over a diversity of systems;
  • Providing support to BNF Bank employees across multiple sites;
  • Performing routine checks on the various Bank systems (networks, hardware and software) and maintaining appropriate records of mentioned checks;
  • Sharing technical knowledge and ways of resolution with other team members;
  • Educating business end users on how to make effective use of their technological tools (hardware & software) to speed up problem resolution, whilst keeping abreast with new technology;
  • Establishing good working relationships both within the IT team and with the other departments; and
  • Documenting processes and procedures as necessary.

Skills

You must:

  • Have a good understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite of products;
  • Have a solid understanding of end user hardware;
  • Familiar with on-premises systems namely; Active Directory, DHCP and DNS;
  • Be flexible and willing to learn banking processes and systems;
  • Have the ability to think pragmatically;
  • Communicate effectively and clearly, possess excellent listening skills and have the ability to interact confidently with internal customers;
  • Be a team player;
  • Demonstrate good problem-solving skills;
  • Be willing to learn and share the acquired knowledge; and
  • Able to work under pressure.

Experience and Knowledge

You must:

  • Possess an MCAST Diploma or a Certification of a relevant ICT academy; and
  • Ideally have work experience in an IT support role or function.
