Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- assisting the Head of Unit to coordinate workflows to ensure that both internal and external established Service Level Agreements are adhered at all time;
- ensuring effective communication with Commercial and Finance Departments with a view to provide a good quality level of service internally that translates itself an excellent level of service to clients;
- general management of activity in the department, contributing towards the accomplishment of the Bank’s mission and strategic objectives;
- monitoring internal controls;
- challenging existing policies and procedures and suggesting changes / or improvements;
- establishing strategic relationships with other internal and external areas; and
- suggesting plans and organising complex projects and programmes from a functional integration point of view.
Competencies and experience
The potential candidate should have a positive attitude, be well-organised, have a strong aptitude to learn, be meticulous and team-oriented.
You must have:
- a university diploma/degree in Banking, Economics and/or Business Management;
- sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
- banking accounting and fundamentals experience, knowledge of banking payment systems (SEPA/S.W.I.F.T./Target2) is considered as an assist;
- 3 years prior experience in a Banking Operations area of a Financial Institution;
- ability to be multitasking, target oriented and with good time management skills;
- an analytical mindset with an eye for detail and process critical thinking.
- ability to possess an acute eye for detail and works well under pressure; and
- experience in supervising junior staff members.
