Duties & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely execution of work related to Banking Operations. 

You will be responsible for:  

  • effectively supporting the manager responsible for the unit in the daily tasks and providing general support as may be required; 
  • making sure that due diligence process checks are followed; 
  • implementing and monitoring best practices that are issued from time to time; 
  • clearing and payments; 
  • following and assisting in on queries from front liners and making sure that end of day tasks are concluded on the day; 
  • assisting in other duties as maybe required by the unit; and
  • maintaining a good and healthy working relationship with all internal and external parties

 Competencies & Experience

The potential candidate should be a reliable and trustworthy team player with an aptitude for learning, able to work in a dynamic environment, meticulous and organised in your work. 

You must:

  • have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;  
  • have banking accounting and fundamentals experience; 
  • have experience in coordinating activities;  
  • be multitasking, target oriented and with good time management skills; 
  • have an analytical mindset with an eye for detail; and
  • have good working knowledge of local (Maltese) legislation in respect of payments; 

Knowledge & Experience

  • past 3/4 year experience in a payments related area of a Financial Institution; and 
  • have at least a Diploma at MQF Level 5 in Business Management or Banking & Finance.
