Duties and responsibilities
As an Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for a range of operational tasks, including:
- Performing due diligence for the opening of accounts for both personal and non-personal customers.
- Managing inward and outward cheque clearing processes, including accepting and rejecting cheque deposits through ATMs, and handling cheque deposits presented by all branches.
- Processing inward and outward payments (SEPA and non-SEPA).
- Handling chasers and resolving queries related to payments.
- Communicating effectively with branches and other units involved in the process.
Competencies and experience
We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy team player with a strong aptitude for learning and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. You should be meticulous, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
You must also:
- Hold a Diploma or Degree in Business Management or Banking & Finance.
- Demonstrate a target-driven approach to work.
- Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Previous banking experience will be considered an asset.
- Be willing to work occasionally on Saturdays.
Having previous experience in Banking will be considered as an asset.
