‍Duties & Responsibilities

The IT Governance Officer provides entry‑level support to the IT Governance Unit by assisting in governance processes, compliance activities, and IT risk oversight. 

You will be responsible for:

• Support implementation and maintenance of the IT governance framework.

• Draft, review, and update IT policies, standards, and procedures.

• Perform IT compliance checks and support regulatory alignment.

• Assist in IT risk assessments and maintain risk documentation.

• Support IT audit preparations and evidence gathering.

• Maintain IT governance KPI dashboards and prepare reports.

• Support vendor due diligence and governance activities.

• Assist in governance aspects of IT projects and change management.

• Perform other IT governance-related duties as required.

Competencies & Experience

The ideal candidate should be reliable, trustworthy, and well‑organised, with a willingness to learn and a strong team‑oriented approach. They should demonstrate clear and confident communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare concise documentation and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels

You must:

  • Have a good understanding of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL v.4) and other governance infrastructure, including IT audit tools, risk management systems, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Possess strong documentation, organisation, and administrative coordination skills.
  • Demonstrate high ethical standards, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility when handling sensitive information.
  • Possess problem-solving and analytical skills with strong communication capabilities and ability to follow structured processes.
  • Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Have between 1- and 3-years’ experience in IT governance, IT audit, IT compliance, or similar roles.
  • Hold certifications such as COBIT, ITIL v.4, ISO27001 (advantageous).
