Duties and Responsibilities 

The Process Automation Manager will be responsible for identifying, designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to optimise business processes across the Bank. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, analysing, and documenting existing business processes to assess automation opportunities and efficiency gains;
  • Designing, developing, testing, and implementing end-to-end process automation solutions in line with business and regulatory requirements;
  • Working closely with business units to gather requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions;
  • Monitoring automated processes, analysing performance metrics, and continuously optimising solutions to improve effectiveness and reduce operational risk;
  • Ensuring automation initiatives align with the Bank’s digital transformation strategy and governance frameworks;
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides;
  • Providing training and support to end users and relevant stakeholders to ensure adoption and effective utilisation of automation solutions; and
  • Staying updated on emerging automation technologies, best practices, and regulatory considerations relevant to the banking sector. 

Competencies and Experience

The potential candidate should be reliable and trustworthy, well-organised with a disposition to learn and have a team-oriented approach. You must possess a strong understanding of banking operations, workflows, and internal control environments. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple automation initiatives concurrently. 

You must:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field;
  • Have proven experience with process automation tools and technologies, such as RPA platforms, workflow automation, or low-code/no-code solutions;
  • Have solid analytical, problem-solving, and process-mapping skills, with a focus on efficiency and risk reduction;
  • Have experience in a similar role within the financial sector will be considered an asset; and
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
